Dale Matthews Sensei has been a student of Japanese and Chinese martial arts since 1962. He began studying Aikido under Satome Shihan in Florida in 1975, and in 1980 moved to Louisville and founded Louisville Aikikai. He is currently a Godan (fifth dan), and teaches two classes a week.
Mike Crady has been practicing Aikido since 1994, and has been teaching at Louisville Aikikai since 2000. Mike teaches the koshi nage and break fall class, as well as other classes.
Doug Ragan practiced karate and judo before discovering Aikido in 1990. He has attended the Washington D.C. summer camp every year since 1993, and began teaching at Louisville Aikikai in 2003.
Cliff Patrie studied judo and shaolin kung fu before coming to Aikido. Cliff has been studying Aikido since 1995, and began teaching in 2001. He currently teaches several classes a week, and enjoys traveling to Aikido seminars across the country.
Paul Hugues began training in 1996 at Louisville Aikikai with Dale Mattews Sensei. After three years, he moved to Danville, where he taught classes and trained at the UK Aikido Club under Mizuno Sensei and Graziano Sensei. He returned to Louisville Aikikai in 2001, and began teaching in 2003.
Joe Kinman has been a student of Aikido since 1988, and has been teaching at Louisville Aikikai since 1997. Joe recently took over management of the club, and currently teaches several classes a week.
Morris Shaw began his study of Aikido in 1991 training at Louisville Aikikai with Dale Matthews Sensei. He is a student of Mitsugi Saotome Shihan and Kevin Choate Sensei of the Chicago Aikikai. He receives inspiration from Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan, William Gleason Sensei and many others. He currently teaches several classes a week.
